William Hinca Obituary

William Leonard Hinca 54, also known as Willie or Bill by those who knew him best, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 in Fayetteville.

A Memorial Service celebrating William's life will be held at Long Branch PFWB Church, 1013 Long Branch Rd, Dunn, NC 28334, at 11:00 AM on October 25, 2025. The family will visit with friends and loved ones following the service.

William made his grand entrance to the world on April 2, 1971, in Buffalo, NY. There he grew up the baby of nine children. While no mother would ever admit it, it was well known that William was mom's favorite. Upon completing his studies in Deisel, he moved south, to Clinton, NC where he made his home.

William's favorite hobbies were working on cars and collecting vintage Tonka trucks. He always had a joke ready for any occasion and he happily shared his humor at just the right time. He loved life and above all, he loved his family. He worked hard for those he loved and wore his heart on his sleeve. Especially when it came to his beloved grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Those who preceded William in death include his Mother: Geraldine E. Hinca Moran, Father: Leonard J. Hinca, Sister: Deborah A. Rafanowicz, and Brother: James M. Hinca.

Left to cherish his memory are his Partner in Life and Love: Paula Black, Step-Children:Kyle Holland and Jordan Woolard, Grandchildren: Ashton Coward, Kaelynn Woolard and Kylie Woolard, Step-Father: Richard Moran, Sisters: Sharon Bauer (David), Michelle Hinca (Alex), Mary Zent (Robert), Sandra Hinca, Gerladine Spack (David), and Bonnie Shields. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family who will miss his light and laughter.
