Wanda Ann Stanley

Wanda Ann Stanley 59 of 225 Faulkner Lane, Benson, NC, entered into her Heavenly home on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her home.

Wanda was born August 21, 1966, to the late Durwood Stanley and Margaret Lee Stanley. She attended public school in both Harnett and Johnston County and immediately entered the work field following high school. She was employed by McDonald's Co. for over 15 years, starting as a biscuit maker and eventually working her way up to manager. Prior to her decline in health, Wanda worked off and on for several years as a personal care aide. 

Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Ronnie Sanders, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 3168 NC-96, Four Oaks, NC 27524.

Wanda was a very loving, caring, and compassionate person who would do anything for anyone. She loved her family. Her children and her grandchildren were the center of her heart.

Wanda was preceded in death by two grandsons, Marquez Stanley and Herbert Clark, and two brothers, Phillip Stanley and Anthony Stanley.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, within the Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Those left to cherish the memory of Wanda include her fiancé, James Burgess of the home; five daughters: Patty Byrd (Patrick) of Smithfield, NC, Kimberly Alexander (Billy) of Garner, NC, Ashley Stanley and Octavia Stanley of the home, and Brittany Stanley of Smithfield, NC; three sons: Brandon Stanley (Destinee) of Angier, NC, Marshall Stanley and Montrail Stanley of the home; 38 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; bonus son, Chris Johnson of Fayetteville, NC; sister: Penny Thompson of Four Oaks, NC; brother: Terry Stanley (Mary) of Princeton, NC; two special nephews: Christopher Stanley of Benson, NC and Kevin Stanley of Four Oaks, NC; two special friends: Torrey Hall of Knightdale, NC and De'Jhan Perry of Raleigh, NC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
