Walter Joseph Krueger 94 of Clinton NC passed away on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at UNC Healthcare in Smithfield, NC

Walter was born in Danville, IL on March 23, 1930 to the late Pauline Hosch and George Krueger.

Walter served in the Army and was a cook a combat veteran and a bronze star recipient in the Korean war. He spent 30+ years working for the Union Pacific railroad and was skilled at repairing almost anything, inside and out!

Arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by Hope Valley Hawkins.

Walter will not only be remembered as a handyman but as a cherished husband to Shirley Krueger, loving Father to Kim Allen Krueger (Lisa) and Kevin Lee Krueger. Grandfather to Michelle L. (Jesus) Almonte and Kevin M. (Katlyn)Krueger. Great Grandfather to 10 and brother to Ruth Griffin , late George Krueger Jr, , late sister Emma Marie Frey, late sister Pauline Krueger and  will always be remembered as “Uncle Sonny” to many nieces and nephews.
