Walker 'Sunshine' Lambert 2, returned to the arms of God on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in Sampson County, NC.
Walker 'Sunshine' Lambert made his grand entrance to this world on November 9, 2022, in Sampson County, and from that day forward, he would be his mother's sunshine, a nickname that everyone knew him by. He was the second youngest of the nine children born to parents Brittiney Simmons and Matthew Lambert. Sunshine was a mama's boy, sticking to his mama like glue. He loved watching Cocomelon and playing in only his diaper and cowboy boots.
A Celebration of Walker's " Sunshine" Life will take place at 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Holly Grove Holiness Church, 1519 Indian Town Rd., Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Julius Simmons, officiating.
Visitation will be held the hour prior to the service, 3:00-4:00 pm, within the Holly Grove Holiness Chapel.
Sunshine was preceded in death by his Great Great Grandmother: Edith Thames, Great Great Grandfather: Golius Simmons, Grandfather: AB Thames, and Grandmother: Kim Lambert.
Those left to cherish his precious memory include his parents: Brittiney Simmons and Matthew Lambert, of the home; his eight siblings: Easton Lambert, Chaser Lambert, Cassidy Lambert, Brantley Lambert, Talon Lambert, Aspen Lambert, Noah Lambert, all of the home, and Ollie Simmons of Virginia; Grandparents: Edith Simmons and Scottie Simmons; Grandfather: David Lambert; Great Grandmothers: Alice Simmons and Carolyn Caid; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation to assist with funeral expenses.
