God so lovingly welcomed Thurman R. Lee, Sr. home on Friday morning, November 13, 2020 at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 1st, 1945 to the late James Arthur Lee and Clatie Monk Lee.

Thurman was educated in the Sampson County School Systems and joined Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

He was employed with Shield Construction Company as a Foreman in Winston Salem, NC for over 20 years. Thurman is preceded in death by a brother: James R. Lee and sister Carolyn A. Lee.

Thurman R. Lee, Sr. was a loving father, brother, papa and friend.

Our hearts are saddened and our eyes filled with tears but we humbly summit to the will of God. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Left to cherish his memories:

Daughter: Tonya Lee Faison, of Clinton, NC, Son: Thurman R. Lee, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC

Grandchildren: Shakelia Boykin, Justin Lee, Alexis Bennett and Cameron Lee, 8 great-grandchildren, brother: Jackie D. Lee. Special cousins: Christine Nails of Washington, DC and Earnestine Jennings of MD, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel from 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm with family present from 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

A graveside service will be held at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, at 2:00 pm.
