Thomas Paul Worrell Jr., 60, of Lumber Bridge, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2025, surrounded by family.
Born on March 15, 1965, in Lumberton, North Carolina, he was the son of Thomas Paul and Anne Loretta Worrell. He was one of five siblings.
Thomas was a skilled mechanic who enjoyed working on cars and lending a hand with odd jobs. He had a big heart, a love for his son, and enjoyed time spent with friends and family. In his final weeks, he found comfort and peace in his faith, devoting time to prayer and reading his Bible.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Victory Baptist Church in Hope Mills, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his son, Reva Alana Garcia, and by his father, Thomas Paul Worrell.
He is survived by his beloved son, Thomas Mark “Tommy” Worrell; his sisters and their spouses: Barbara and Chuck Winchester of Clarksville, TN; Paula Coach and Frank Pollak of Fayetteville, NC; Linda Worrell and Tony Andrews of Zebulon, NC; and Rebecca and Francisco Garza of Vander, NC. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
