Teresa Ann Maez

Teresa Ann Maez 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 14, 2024.

Terry was born June 10, 1957 in Tujunga, CA to Ronald and Mary Sommers. From the moment Terry came into this world she defied odds by being stillborn and brought back to life after several minutes.  Terry graduated from Verdugo Hills HS and went on to fill studio audiences for TV shows like Golden Girls and Boy Meets World.  Her laugh lives on in the background of these shows.  Anyone who met Terry has a favorite treat she made for them, and nobody was better in the kitchen. All you had to do was say "I'm hungry" and she was whipping up something amazing.  Later Terry moved to Solvang to open her own clothing boutique "That Special Look" but eventually settled in Raleigh, NC to be with her daughter and new grandson in 2012.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents Ronald Sommers and Mary Sommers, brother Don Sommers, and beloved husband William Maez. Teresa leaves behind 2 daughters, Suzann Maez and Heather Wilber; 5 grandchildren Aaron Wilber, Chloe Wilber, Lucas Wilber, Hunter Wilber, and Leif Maez, 1 great grandson Nico Wilber, sister Tammy Benge, and son in law Leo Schultz.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in June.
