Shelia Brewington 63, of 1369 Isaac Weeks Rd., passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington. 

Shelia Vanise Brewington born on January 28, 1960 in Faison Nc, to the late Bertha Mae Lewis and Quincy Lewis Jr.

Shelia received her education at Hargrove school. She married the late James Gray Brewington in 1980. Shelia was a beautiful person inside and out with a beautiful soul and big heart. She loved to have family and friends around all the time and everyone loved to be around her as well. If you ever apologized to her she would forgive you right then and there. She loved to keep her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other people children as well.

Everybody loved Miss Shelia and loved to go by her house. Shelia was the life of the party. Everyone loved her cooking. Shelia had the best fried chicken on the east coast. She was always there if you needed to talk and she kept it real with any and everyone. She truly spoke her mind.

Shelia had a green thumb, she loved her flowers. She had a house full of pretty green flowers and stayed plating flowers outside, her rose bushes and sunflowers. She loved to decorate her house and change around her living room. She is truly loved and will most certainly be missed. Shelia made a huge impact on many peoples lives. She was like a second mother to so many others, especially to her children’s best friends and to her grandchildren and great-grands.

Home Going Service will be held 1 pm, Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Holly Grove Disciple Church,  114 N McCullen Rd, Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow in Sandhill Cemetery, 3 Sampson Street, Clinton, NC 28328.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Friday, May 26, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
