Shawnette Nicole (McRae) Arnold 41, affectionately known as ‘Nette’, departed this life on September 03, 2024. She was preceded in death by her Sister, Shaneka McRae; Grandmother, Helen McRae; and Godmother, Patricia Arnette.

Nette was born August 06, 1983 to Jeffrey Arnette and Audrey McRae of Clinton, NC. Nette was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Funeral will be held 1:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church, 4721 Bearskin Rd, Clinton, NC 28328 with Pastor Harrington, officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Bearskin Church Cemetery.

Visitation will take place 2:00-7:00 pm, with family present 6:00-7:00 pm, on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Nette attended Clinton City School System at a young age. She graduated James Sprunt Community College in Kenansville, NC. She attained her High School Diploma and also her Nursing Assistant Certificate in 2018. Nette worked at several nursing homes while also serving as a Notary Public. Nette joined Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church at a young age. She was a member of the Youth and Young Adult Choir. She was a lovable people person who really cared about her family. To truly know her was to love her. She loved singing and she loved to make others laugh.

Shawnette leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters- Mahogany M. Vann & Tariony N. Lane; Son- Anthony Q. Vann; Father- Jeffrey Arnette (Patricia); Mother- Audrey (Ronnie) Eason; Grandchildren- Khaleel & Jaleiah Lane; Brothers- Jeffrey J. Arnette & Matthew Powell; Grandparents- James & Lorena Arnette; Godparents- George & Gloristine Howard; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
