Ronnie Millard Autry, 73, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home in Turkey, NC. Ronnie was born February 8, 1953 in Dunn, NC. He lived a good life rooted in his community.
A Home Going service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 26, 2025 at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church located at 2316 Maxwell Rd, Autryville the burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A walk through will be held one hour before the service at the church.
Ronnie was educated in the Sampson County School system and graduated from Midway High School in 1972. His early years shaped his lifelong love of sports and outdoor activities. He would carry this love throughout his entire life. His devotion, as a fan of the Carolina Tar Heels and the Dallas Cowboys, was unwavering. Those who knew him well understood that any criticism of his teams was sure to spark a spiritual defense. Whether cheering from his living room or discussing game stats with friends and family, Ronnies love of sports was infectious.
Ronnie's greatest pride was his family. He is lovingly remembered by his two sons: Lorenzo and Phillip, both of Durham, NC and one daughter: Latasha of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren: Alayna, Qualiff, and Jacob; his brother: Connie Lindsey and wife Belinda; a sister: Linda Weller and husband Lovel. He also held a special -place in the heart of his aunt: Christine Lockhart of Maryland. In addition, Ronnie leaves a host of family and friends, who will miss him dearly.
