She was born June 18, 1927 to her parents Johnny Edward and Minerva Herrell Woodward (both deceased). Early in her life, she married Jesse Treece, of Powell Valley Tennessee (deceased 1999).  They had one daughter, Tommie Karen Treece Patterson, (deceased 2007).  She later moved to Cocoa, Florida, where she lived most of her life and married Howard Smith (now deceased).  No children were born to this marriage.

Reva was a "big sister" to two younger brothers.  She was high spirited, loving, intelligent, always making new friends and sharing with her two younger brothers.  Her life circumstances did not allow her to graduate from Claiborne County high school where she attended. Reva was one eight (8) siblings, all now deceased but for the youngest, Wade B Woodward (Peggy), in Tazewell Tn.

The deceased are, Bessie Rice, Monroe Mi., Maggie Mae Gable, Monroe Mi., Virginia Coldiron, Carrolton Oh., Hazel Carter, Tazewell, TN, Thomas Woodward, Memphis Tn., Edward Woodward, and Tazewell, TN.

Surviving are two Granddaughters, Tammy Hudson-Lomax (Doug) of Lake Charles LA, and Kimberly Patterson of Clinton NC.  She also had Great grandsons Christopher Patterson of Cocoa FL, Jared A. Johnson of Clayton NC (deceased 2009), Aaron Stephens of Clinton NC & Justin Hudson of Lake Charles LA.

Reva will be buried in a private family graveside ceremony in the family plot at the Cave Springs Cemetery in Tazewell TN.  The Reverend David Woodward Reva's nephew.
