Peter Lee Fennell

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Lee Fennell 70, of Jean Lane in Clinton, NC. Mr. Fennell peacefully passed away on March 29, 2025 at SECU Hospice House in Newport, North Carolina. Peter Lee was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

Mr. Fennell was born July 22, 1955, in Clinton, NC to the late Herbert Edward Fennell and Mary Monk Fennell. He was proceeded in death by brothers Abraham and Herbert Fennell Jr., sisters Lillian Marie Fennell Santos and Nancy Marie Faison. Mr. Fennell graduated from Clinton High School in 1973 and became a member of the United States Air Force. Mr. Fennell received an Honorable Discharge and returned home to Clinton, NC. Peter was a beloved member of his community, known for his kindness and dedication to those around him. He leaves behind cherished memories for his family and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 3rd, at 11:00 AM at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, located at 1246 Hobbton Highway in Clinton. Burial will follow at the Eastern Carolina State Veteran Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road in Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service prior to the service.

Mr. Fennell is survived by his son, Antonio Fennell of Durham, NC, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, one sister, Reverand Octavia Murphy of the home one brother Kenneth L. Fennell of the home and a host of nieces and nephew’s other relatives and friends.

The family expresses deep gratitude to his sister and extend thanks to others for your concern and acts of kindness.
