Peggy Jean (Carter) Brock 75, of 120 Southwood Drive, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Mary Gran Nursing Home.

Peggy was born in Columbus County on September 5, 1948 to the late Lizzie Brock and John Paul Carter.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 pm, prior to the service.

Those that preceded Peggy in death include her parents, Lizzie and John Paul Carter and daughter, Kelly Spell.

Those left to carry on the memory of Peggy include: her daughter, Johnna Barnes of Garland; grandchildren: Ashley Maready, Michael Spell, Peggy Joanna Merritt, Alishia Carter, and Hannah Barnes; and great-grandchildren: Natalie Spell, Makayla Spell, Ashlyn Spell, Chelsea Spell, Bobby Merritt Jr., Mattie Merritt, Levi Merritt, Bailey Merritt, Greyson Buffkin, and Lincoln Romero.
