Paul Ray Darden, Jr.

On Wednesday October 18, 2023 the angel of life lifted his wings in flight with the soul of our beloved, son, godson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Paul Ray Darden Jr.

"PJ" was born on January 1, 2004 in Clinton NC, He departed life at UNC Chapel Hill N.C. Paul Jr. graduated from Athens Drive Magnet High School on February 2023. PJ was the first child to be born in Sampson County on New Year’s Day. He was very sociable and loved being around the people he loved the most. PJ loved spending time with family and friends.

PJ is proceeded in death by his (mother) Melinda Darden, (grandparents) Lorthu & John Darden, (uncles) David, John, Jimmy, Milford, and Zeek Darden. (Aunts) Brenda Smith, Lottie, and Alice Mae Darden.

Home Going service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy Clinton NC, 28328

Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

PJ leaves to cherish memories of his (father) Paul Ray Darden Sr. (Brothers) Tobias Darden, and Deonta Darden. (Great grandmothers) Dorothy Shackleford and Essie May Rich. (Grandparents) Mary Joyce Fennell (Gabriel) and Bertice Rich Sr.(Roslyne). (Aunts) Mary Rich, Katherine Darden, Angela Ingram, and Laranda McKoy. (Uncles) David Fennell, Bertice Rich Jr., and Charles Parker.
