On March 20th, 2024, our beloved Mona Lisa Boykin departed this life and went to her heavenly home.
Mona was born October 10th, 1967 in Clinton, North Carolina to the late James E. Robinson Lane and Geraldine Lane. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1985 and attended Sampson Community College and became a Certified Nurse’s Assistant. In 2005, she completed a training course from Brookestone College in business and work with a variety of insurance agencies. Mona Lisa met her love Anthony Quinn Boykin and they were joined in marriage on May 24th, 1992. They had been married for 32 years. They lived in Charlotte, North Carolina for over twenty years. They have three children.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, March 26th 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Andrews Chapel Baptist Church, 2541 Reedsford Rd, Clinton, NC 28328.
Walkthrough to take place from 1:00 until 5:00 pm, the family will be present from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, North Carolina.
She leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband, Anthony Quinn Boykin; their three children, Michael Reed of Akron, Ohio; Rashad L. Lane and Quia S. Boykin of Charlotte, N C; a mother in-law Velma Bennett of Dunn, NC; a father in-law James Boykin of Lumberton, NC; three sisters, Percilla (Nathan) Williams of Selma, NC; Linda (Orlando) Brinkley of Goldsboro, NC and Anita (Patrick) Newton of Clinton, NC; three brothers, Ronald (Angela-deceased) Lane of Clinton, NC; Xavier Lane of Austin, Texas and Michael Lane (deceased). Mona also has two brother in-laws, Ray Charles Bennett (deceased) and Efren Boykin of Clinton, NC. She has several surviving aunts, uncles, a host cousins, and nieces and nephews all who cherish her dearly.
We will all remember her loving and sweet personality and her contagious laughter.
