Michael Jay Edwards

Michael Jay Edwards 62 passed away at his home on Friday, July 25, 2025.

The Family will hold a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 1105 Autryville Rd., Salemburg, NC. 

Michael was born in Bladen County, NC on October 27, 1962 to the late Jimmie Ashley Edwards and Eva Lee Wright. He made his living as a painter and in his spare time we enjoyed playing drums and singing with the music group the family formed named "Country Breeze".

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Christopher Ashley Edwards. 

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Jayson Edward of Virginia; sister, Pamela Edwards Lucas of Salemburg; his friend and caregiver, Steve Hulen of Salemburg; as well as nieces and nephews, Jessica L. Tart of Clayton, Leanne Colwell of Turkey, Jacob Edwards of Barcelona, Spain, and Jayme Nance of TN.
