Maryland Phillips Beard 80 of 207 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. passed away on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Home going service will be held at 2:00 on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Andrews Chapel Baptist Church, 2541 Reedsford Rd, Clinton with Elder Gerald Underwood officiating, burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory: brothers: Samuel L. Phillips (Dorothy), Eddie L. Phillpis, Sr. (Mary), Percy Phillips (Brenda) and Morris Phillips. Sisters: Eva Mae Taylor, Lovistin Phillips and Magdalene Tatum, Five children: Gloria Bennett (Roy), Shirley Phillips-Royal (John), Judy Beard, George Beard and Ernest Beard. Four Grandchildren: Roy Bennett Jr. (YoLanda), LaToya Price (Kenyatte), Anita Phillips and Cory Bennett, Twelve Great-Grandchildren and a host of niece, nephews, friends and other relatives. A special friends Eddie Stillman.

A public walk thru will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. from 2:00pm – 6:00pm with the family present from 5:00pm – 6:00pm.
