Mother Mae Ola Owens Draughon 77 of 2381 Zoar Church Road, Salemburg passed away on January 14, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton.

Mae Ola was born on November 20, 1943 in Cumberland County to the late Jessie and Mable Owens. Mae attended Armstrong High School. She was a member of Mingle Hill Disciples Church in Salemburg. Mae served on the Usher Board and Mother Board, Mae also served as Sunday School Secretary. She was always willing to do her part, Mae always had a smile while she served for her God. Mae loved the Lord and didn’t mind letting you know.

Mae was always kind and loving to everyone. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Sunday, January, 17, 2021 at Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Montrom Williams officiating, burial will follow.

Mae leaves behind to cherish her memories: her husband of 58 years Deacon Dallas Dixon Draughon, three daughters: Angela Draughon of Lawrenceville, Gz., Debra Ann Draughon Costin of Jonesboro, Ga., Valencia Draughon Faircloth (James) of Warsaw, brother: Andrew Lee Owerns of Stedman, sisters: Minnie Alease Geddie of Stedman and Lois Robinson of Fayetteville, grandchildren: Lakeish Draughon, Bernard King, Christine King, Jessica Faircloth and Brittany Faircloth. 10 great-grandchildren, a host of neices, nephews, cousins and other realtives.

A walk thru will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm with family present from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
