Lizet Guajardo Montoya, 47, of 140 Hill Lane, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at her sister’s home in Clinton, surrounded by her family as she wished.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, at 2:00 PM at Puerta Estrecha Pentecostes in Mt. Olive with Rev. Avidolfo Garcia officiating.  A graveside service will follow on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Clinton Cemetery.

Born April 7, 1978 in Miami, Florida, Lizet was the daughter of Maria Guerrero and Gustavo Guajardo. She was a member of the Puerta Estrecha Pentecostes Church in Mt. Olive and worked as a security officer with Butterball.

She is survived by her husband:  Hason Mauricio Montoya of Goldsboro; one daughter: Jasmine Juliet Montoya of Mt. Olive;  two sons:  Hasson Mauricio Montoya Jr. and Matthew Erlin Montoya, both of Mt. Olive; five sisters:  Monica Marrero of Mt. Olive, Marisela Guajardo of Georgia, Griselda Tinajero of Dunn, Patricia Lopez of Clinton and Christina Guajardo of Faison; one brother:  Gustavo Guajardo, Jr. of Faison; and one grandchild; Ezra Maria Montoya.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM at the church and other times at the home of her mother, Maria Guajardo, at 414 Brewer  Road, Faison, NC.
