Linda Gail (McDoe) Strickland

Linda Gail Strickland 56 passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at her home.

Linda Gail. The daughter of the late Edward and Rida McDoe was born on August 2, 1963, Linda Gail was a caring, energetic and eager to help anyone at anytime.

Over the years she dealt with many health issues, that now she is freed of. Linda attended Clinton High School and graduated 1981.

Linda was also an excellent employee of the Sampson County School, her main position was as a bus driver and substitute teacher. Linda also attended St. Augustine and Sampson Community College to further her education. She was preceded in death by her parents.  

Home Going Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton with Elder Thomas Raynor officiating burial will be held at Running Branch Disciples Church Cemetery.

Linda leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Ronnie Strickland of the home, son: Ron Strickland Jr. and daughter Ashley Strickland of Clinton. Two brothers: Edward  McDoe (Sharlene) of Knightdale, NC, Johnny Williams of Salemburg, NC, her sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives, special friends: Rita Royal and Denise Vernon. The love of her husband, children and family was never ending.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
