Latesia N. Williams Rich 44, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at her home.

Latesia Rich passed away peacefully surrounded by close family and friends on February 27, 2024. Latesia was born November 18, 1979 to parents, Sandra Peterson and Otis Rich and was the second sibling of three children. She was raised in Roseboro, NC, where she attended Charles E. Perry Elementary, Roseboro Salemburg Middle, and Lakewood High School. After finishing school she started her first job at the Inomancy Home Care, where she was trained and certified as a CNA. Latesia worked in the health care field for 18 years. She loved it and enjoyed taking care of those who needed assistance. She was always able to put a smile on the faces of her patients. She later went on to work for House of Raeford, enjoying 7 years of employement with them until her health began to fail and she was no longer able to work.

Latesia was a proud mother of four children: Arell Owens (Savannah) of Gastonia, NC, Malaysia Owens, Dontia Arion Davis, and Zariyah Crocker all of Roseboro, NC.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 531 Marion-Amos Rd, Roseboro, NC 28382. Rev. S.E. Bryant, officiating. Burial will follow in Bearskin Church Cemetery, 4721 Bearskin Rd., Clinton, NC.

At the request of the family, no public viewing will be held.

In addition to her children, Latesia leaves to cherish her memories, her grandchildren: Azareyah Owens, Dreme Herring, Amelia Owens, and Tatum Owens; special children: Kimiyra Hobbs and Aaliyah Williams; her Mother: Sandra Peterson; her Father: Otis Rich (Jean) of Roseboro, NC; two brothers: Randy Rich and Ben Williams, both of Salemburg, NC; two sisters: Lynette Herring (Anthony) and Kellie Hickman of Salemburg, NC; Aunts: Dorothy Hickman (Kenny Ray) of Salemburg, NC, Mittie Williams (Robert) of Roseboro, NC; Brenda Freedman of Clinton, NC, Milenda Faison () of Mt. Olive, NC, and Deborah Murphy of Syracuse, NY; Grand Aunts: Alice Marie Oates of Newburgh, NY and Gennie Owens of Clinton, NC; Grand Uncles: Deacon Henry Oates(Doreen Oates) of Fayetteville, NC, Bennie Oates(Sonya Oates) of South Carolina, Elder Ronnie Oates(Sister Tiffany Oates) of Sanford, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Latesia is preceded in death by her Great Grandmother, Miss Lessie Mae Oates; Grandmother, Loraine Oates Freeman; Grand Uncles: David L. Oate, Willie C. Oates, Harry C. Oates, Joe L. Oates, and Jimmy L. Oates; and Grand Aunts: Annie Mae Oates and Eva Bell.
