Lakawsha McIntyre Obituary

Lakawsha Vonique McIntyre, was born to James Mosely and Beatrice McIntyre on September 28th, 1976 in Clinton, North Carolina. She peacefully answered God’s summon from this earthly life on Sunday, July 11th, 2021 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

“Neat”, as she was affectionately called, was a caring mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

 

In addition to spending time with her family and friends, Neat’s pride and joy was directing the Youth Choir at Union Grove Church of Christ Disciples of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alberta Oates and James McIntyre; paternal grandfather, James Robert Mosley; and uncles, Willie Bernard “Bond” McIntyre, James McIntyre Jr., Charles Royal and Marvin Royal.

A Home Going Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Union Grove Church of Christ, 716 Lisbon Street, Clinton, burial will follow in the Springvale-Clinton City Cemetery.

A walk thru will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton from 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm with family present from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

 

Treasured memories of her life will forever remain in the hearts of her two loving sons, Ramel McIntyre and Tymair McIntyre both of Clinton, North Carolina; four wonderful grandchildren, Alanis Rodriguez, Ramel McIntyre Jr., Alaya McIntyre, and Tyler McIntyre all of Clinton, North Carolina; her parents, James Mosely and Beatrice McIntyre; Five caring siblings, Dexter McIntyre of Houston, Texas; Valencia “Shell” Faison of Clinton, North Carolina; Helen Nicole Dixon of Cary, North Carolina; Quincy Aycock of Teachey, North Carolina; and Lakita Boykin of Clinton, North Carolina; her paternal grandmother Doretha Mosely of Clinton, North Carolina; Two aunts, Alice (Wilbert) Best, and Ella M. Faison both of Clinton, North Carolina; One uncle, Jackie Ray Mosely of Clinton, North Carolina; One great-aunt, Rochelle Royal of Jacksonville, North Carolina; One great-great aunt, Aretha Killett of Clinton, North Carolina; Her special niece, Lakivia McIntyre of Clinton, North Carolina; Five nephews, Malik Mason and Jaheim Faison both of Clinton, North Carolina; Mekhi McIntyre of Houston, Texas; Deakari McIntyre of Miami, Florida; and DaQuarius Bannerman of Cary, North Carolina; One special great-niece, Aysia Inman of Clinton, North Carolina; Three great-nephews, Ayden Waters, Cameron Mason, and Caleb Mason all of Clinton, North Carolina; Three special cousins, Angela Boykin and Larry McIntyre both of Clinton, North Carolina and Willie Faison of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Seven God sisters, Nicole Boykin, Angelina Simmons, Lecharisa Boykin, Brandy Davis, Shana Troublefield, and ReShonda Marshall all of Clinton, North Carolina; and Tiffany Simmons of Charlotte, North Carolina; a special nephew and cousin who were her caregivers, Byron McIntyre of Raleigh, North Carolina; and Lisa Pauling of Clinton, North Carolina; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.
