Krista Rich

On Thursday, April 3, 2025, the angel of life lifted her wings in flight with the soul of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, and friend. Krista Arletha Rich 'Kristy' was born on April 18, 1976 in Clinton, NC. She departed this life at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.

Home Going Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Snow Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 531 Marion-Amos Rd, Roseboro, NC 28382.

A walk thru will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Kristy attended Sampson County Schools. She graduated from Lakewood High School in 1995. To support her family, she worked as a PCA at Mary Gran Nursing Home and recently at J's Play & Learn Child Care Center as a cook. She had a passion for caring for the elderly and children. Kristy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a person who enjoyed life. Kristy loved riding in the front seat of a car and wouldn't give it up to anyone. 

Kristy is preceded in death by her mother, Brenda S. Rich; grandfather, Henry Jr. Rich; grandmother, Cristine Parker Rich; and her aunt that raised her, Linda 'Sudie' Rich.

She leaves to cherish her memories, sons: Braquan K. Faison & Christopher J. Owens, both of Roseboro, NC; her uncle who raised her: Norris 'Coot' Anderson; special grandmother, Essie Mae Rich; her brothers: Craig (Michelle) Rich of Whiteville, NC and Norris (LC) Anderson of Roseboro, NC; her sisters: Melinda (Andrew) of Wilmington, NC, Marquita Nicole Johnson of Roseboro, NC, and Tiffany Anderson of Garland, NC; grandchildren: Aubree Artis, Kaiden Davis, Brashuan Faison, Keshon Faison, Yahem Davis, and Kaslyn Lee ; aunts: Moline Devone of Roseboro, NC, Emma (Milton) James of  Roseboro, NC, Gloristine Rich of Salisbury, NC; Rosie Rich (Rodney) of Salemburg, NC, Lucy Rich of Roseboro, NC; uncles: Ottis Lee (Jean) Rich of Roseboro, NC, James Doug (Rita) Rich of Roseboro, NC, Stanley (Angela) Rich of Roseboro, NC, Bertice (Ross) Rich Sr. of Fayetteville, NC, Anthony (Patricia) Rich of Salemburg, NC, Christopher (Deborah) Rich of Roseboro, NC, James Clifton Rich of Roseboro, NC, Ossie Jr. (Velma) Rich of Salemburg, NC, and George (Kwanda) Rich of Steadman, NC; her best friend: Crystal 'Peanut' Smith of Salemburg, NC; and nieces & nephews: Craig Rich Jr.,Bobby Toon, Quantarius Townsen, Trinity James. Kristy also leaves a host of friends, cousins, and close cousins.
