Kewame Stanley

Kewame Devon Stanley 25, of 500 11th Street, Goldsboro, NC, departed his life Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at his home.

Kewame was born January 30, 2001 to Arthur McRae and Patty Byrd. He attended Smithfield-Selma High School, earning his high school diploma in 2022. He was employed by Butterball Corp. in Mt. Olive, NC at the time of his passing.

Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 21, 2026 in the Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC. Burial will follow in the Bethel Original Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, 3168 NC-96, Four Oaks, NC 27524.

Kewame was a very loving and caring person and would give his last to anyone. He loved to fish and ride dirt bikes with his siblings. Kewame loved his family and they loved him.

Kewame was preceded in death by two brothers, Marquez Stanley and Herbert Clark; Grandmothers, Wanda Stanley and Sharon Hinton; and Grandfather, Lewis Hinton.

He is survived by his parents: Arthur (Christian) McCrae of Greenville, NC and Patty (Patrick) Byrd of Smithfield, NC; four brothers: Shaquan and Jeremiah Stanley of Smithfield, NC, Patrick J. and Joseph Byrd of Benson, NC; six sisters: Lataijasha and Alexus Stanley of Smithfield, NC, Tahtianah McCrae of Princeton, NC, Brooklyn and Janiyah McCrae of Greenville, NC, and Ashley Clark of Smithfield, NC; Grandparents: James Burgess of Benson, NC, Mamie Stewart of Smithfield, NC, and Leslie Boyd of Greenville, NC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
