Kenneth Faison 62 passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

Home Going Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy, Clinton, burial will follow in the Sandhill Cemetery. 

Kenneth Earl Faison was born on September 10, 1958, to Warren H. Faison (deceased) and Lucille Underwood (deceased), at Sampson Memorial Hospital in Clinton North Carolina. He was the youngest of 8 children. At a young age, Kenneth joined the Union Grove Disciple Church, Clinton, NC where he was baptized.

 Kenneth attended the Clinton City Public School system and graduated from Clinton High School in 1977.  He was very active in extracurricular activities and excelled in the gift of gab. Shortly thereafter, he relocated to Englewood, NJ. On Feb 24, 1982 he married Glenda Darlene Bullock.  To this union, three children were born.

While living in Englewood, Kenneth had a successful career as a trusted employee of the City of Englewood. Over the span of 15 years he was well loved, highly respected and advanced quickly. During his tenure in the city, he developed a passion for serving others. 

After a while, Kenneth and his family felt the need to return home to Clinton. Changing career paths, Kenneth worked as a Grant Writer and a FEMA Coordinator which enabled him to assist countless people in need. Kenneth also rekindle his relationship with God, serving at Roseville Baptist Church.

Eventually, he relocated from Clinton to Goldsboro, NC, where he married Annie Jewel Wilson on August 8, 2008. He worked for Dart Cherry, a residential treatment center as a Patient Care Coordinator further demonstrating his love for serving and helping others.

He joined the St. Luke United Methodist Church in Goldsboro, under the leadership of Pastor Daniel Baer. Kenneth established the Celebrate Recovery for All People Outreach Ministry where they fed and clothed the homeless and less fortunate. 

Kenneth had a heart of gold, which made him loved by so many. He was an advocate for love, life, the homeless, and the disenfranchised.  Kenneth also loved to teach and was a positive force in the lives of many young and old.

He is survived by his three children, Kenneth Jaamal Faison (Keasha) of Raleigh, NC;  ChaKena Danielle Faison of Clinton, NC; and Javion Malek Faison of Greensboro, NC; one grandson, Jaden Faison of Raleigh, NC; stepdaughter Elaine Wilson of Goldsboro; three brothers, Warren Faison (Darnella) of Forestville, MD; Reverend Bobby Faison (Belinda) of Clinton, NC; and Reverend Dr. Ronnie Faison (Reverend Diane) of Hackensack, NJ; two sisters, Sudia Faison of Upper Marlboro, MD; and Edith Faison of Englewood, NJ;  a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

Kenneth had two deceased brothers, Reverend Dr. Leonard Faison (Nancy); and Charles T. Faison (Vita, deceased).

Kenneth loved to laugh and lived life on his terms. Kenneth truly Loved the Lord With All of His Heart. He will be truly missed.
