Kayla Martine Blue 31, passed away at her home on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Home Going Celebration to be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Anthony Blue Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in SandHill Cemetery, located at 3 Sampson St., Clinton, NC 28328.
Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 pm on Thursday, May 15, 2025 within the Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. The family will receive friends other times at the home, 503 Stewart Ave., Clinton, NC 28328.
Kayla Martine Blue was born to the parents of Anthony & Virginia Blue on January 25, 1994. She was known affectionately by her father as the neighborhood Mother Theresa as she was ALWAYS looking out for others.
Kayla attended Clinton City Schools where she was on the step team in high school. She was a praise dancer at her church. Kayla had a bright, sunny personality. She loved everybody. She had a heart to help everybody, even to her own detriment.
Kayla was a faithful member of Victory In The Word Ministry. Kayla knew the Lord. She knew how to pray and seek prayer for herself and her girls. Kayla was very loved by her family and her daughters.
Kayla is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Dossie McBryde, maternal grandfather Roland Mitchell, special aunt Annette Pride, and her sister Majesty Blue.
Kayla is survived by her parents Anthony & Virginia, her two daughters: Jahkayla Neveah Owens and London Renee Blue; three brothers Marcus (Jessica) London, Anthony Blue Jr, Joshua Blue; two sisters: Candice Cannady, Andrea Blue; grandmother Johnnie London; great-aunt Virginia Faison; great-uncle Mack Mitchell; aunt Ernestine (Anthony) Martina; uncle Bernard (Michelle) Blue; seven nieces & nephews: Sa’Riya Crews, Christopher Jacobs, Isaiah Jacobs, Josiah London, Aria Blue, Jaiden Blue, Averie Blue; cousins: Arthenia (Darryl) Mitchell, Shaneiqua Blue; three special sisters: Sholonda Owens, Shante Owens, Shenika Fryar; and special friend Dianna Lewis. She also leaves a host of cousins, family and friends.
Kayla had her struggles, but she never forgot God because that was her foundation.
