Kathy (Barfield) Rowe

Kathy (Barfield) Rowe 63, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Goldsboro Assisted Living in Wayne County, NC.

Kathy was born on July 3, 1961 in Wayne County to the late Ida Mae Blizzard and Melvin Edward Barfield. 

In honoring Kathy's wishes, she will be cremated. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at the James Worrell Family Cemetery in Goldsboro, located on Vinson Rd. Bishop Warren H. Barfield Sr., officiating.

Kathy was a beautiful soul inside and out. She was a shining example of what the Bible says a Christian should be. She loved the Lord and loved attending church whenever she could. She did everything with kindness and love while never speaking a negative word about anyone. If you were sick or in the hospital, Kathy would be there at your bedside until you were well agian. She loved helping others, spending time with her family, and going to eat at her favorite restaurant, The Mayflower. She was truly one of the most loving, caring, and honest people you could ever hope to know. 

In addition to her parents, Kathy is preceded in passing by her brother, Kendall Edward Barfield. 

Kathy is survived by her children: Lindsey Waters & Logan Waters, both of Goldsboro, NC; siblings: Chalady Barfield of Goldsboro, NC, Dusty Barfield of Seven Springs, NC, & Vickie McLamb of Wilson, NC; husband: Othel Rowe; five grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
