Judy Annette Aman 78, of 1378 High Shoals Rd., Lincolnton, NC (Formerly of Clinton, NC), entered her heavenly home on Friday, May 10, 2024 at The Greens of Lincolnton, NC.
Annette (to those who knew her best) was born in Wayne County on July 2, 1945 to the late McCoy Bass and Lillie Mae Flowers.
Annette graduated from Hobbton High School, where she met her late husband, Clayton. She ran a home daycare for almost 20 years and adored children. During those years, she nurtured over 100 children. In addition, the family maintained a blueberry farm in Newton Grove, NC for many years. Annette later went back to school to obtain a nursing degree and worked at Mary Gran Nursing Home for years before finally retiring with the Clinton Police Department as a school Crossing Guard. In her free time Annette loved to travel and go antiquing. Annette was also a member of Bethany Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. Annette will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and “MawMaw” and will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Pastor Leonard Henry, officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery located in Newton Grove, NC.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, 1:00 pm-3:00 pm, within Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel.
Annette is preceded in death by her parents, McCoy and Lillie Mae Bass; as well as her husband, James Clayton.
Those left to cherish the memory of Annette include her daughter, Wendy A. Barnes and husband Jason of Lincolnton; and grandchildren, Madyson and Brayden Barnes, whom she loved dearly.
