Faison
Jimmy Lee Wilson, 67, of Faison, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his brother’s home in Newton Grove, North Carolina.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026, at Wilson Chapel Church, 4771 New Hope Church Road, Turkey, North Carolina. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Jimmy was born on April 20, 1958, in Sampson County to the late Arthur Wilson and Mary Faison Wilson. He graduated from Union High School in Rose Hill, North Carolina. Following graduation, Jimmy dedicated much of his life to working on local farms, a profession he took great pride in.
Jimmy was known for his kind spirit and easygoing nature. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed watching Westerns on television, one of his favorite pastimes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Mary Faison Wilson, and his brother, Arthur James Wilson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings: Jesse Wilson of Columbus, Georgia; Major Wilson (Vickie) of Newton Grove, North Carolina; George Wilson of Killeen, Texas; Jacqueline Faison of Mount Olive, North Carolina; Barbara Faison Simmons of Clinton, North Carolina; and Reginald Faison of Clinton, North Carolina.
Jimmy is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends who will forever cherish his memory.
