Jim Henry McCullen

Jim Henry McCullen, 85, of Clinton passed away peacefully with his children at his side, Friday, May 23, 2025.

There will be a private family graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Matthew Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1900 Bradshaw Rd,  Clinton, NC 28328.

Born January 9, 1940, Jim Henry was the son of the late James Hughlon McCullen and Annie Mae Butler McCullen Hilliard. He worked for Spivey Lewis Oil Company, and Sampson Bladen Oil Company as a gas truck driver. Jim Henry never met a stranger. He loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. He often said that,  that love made him the richest man alive. He was strong in his faith and attended St Matthew Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Jim Henry is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Byrd and husband Jeff of Faison and a son Scott McCullen of Clinton. Four grandchildren, Justin Stanley, wife Aubrea, Katlyn Jordan, husband Bill, Tyson Byrd and Brady Byrd. Five great grandchildren, Casen Stanley, Ava Stanley, Henry Jordan, Harvey Jordan, and Cullen Jordan.

Jim Henry is proceeded in death by an infant son, James Hughlon “Hugh” McCullen III and three sisters, Della Lundy, Annie Griffin, and Johnnie Laminad.
