Jerry Henry Byrd

Jerry Henry Byrd 78 of 113A Jefferson St Clinton passed away with his family by his side Friday February 12th, 2021 at the Highsmith Rainey Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Jerry was born in 1942 to the late Henry and Victoria Beasley Byrd and dedicated his life to his church Colonial Freewill Baptist Church. Jerry worked at ABC Store until he  retired. Jerry also loved his family, he loved his four-Legged side kick BINGO, He loved working at the church mowing the grass and cleaning up. Jerry was preceded in death by his son Michael Byrd and a  Sister Wilma Foss.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday February the 16th 2021 at Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church by the Pastor Gene Smith and Pastor Ron Davis officiating, the Burial will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memories is his wife of 58 years, Edna Turner Byrd of the home, His children  Wayne Byrd and wife Christina of Clinton, Sheila Owens and husband Shelton of Roseboro, Brother, Jackie Byrd of Clinton NC, Grandchildren, Jason Byrd, Cory Byrd and Justin Byrd all of Clinton, Amber Owens and Taylor Owens both of Roseboro.

A viewing will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Colonial Heights Freewill Baptist Church 1140 W Elizabeth St Clinton and other times at the home113 Jefferson St Clinton.

The Byrd Family has entrusted Service to Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service and Cremation 1246 Hobbton Hwy Clinton NC.

We ask to stay in compliance with the North Carolina State COVID-19 Law that social distancing measures be taken, and a mask worn at all times during all services.
