Jemonne Eric Newkirk

Jemonne Eric Newkirk 46, transitioned from life to eternal rest on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center in South Carolina, with his mother at his side.

Jemonne was born September 14,1979 in Rose Hill, NC to mother, Jean M. Newkirk. His early life was spent in the Newton's Crossroads area. When Jemonne was still very young, his mother married Kenneth Mitchell of Cayce, SC. They became a loving blended family in everyway but blood. Jemonne was soon joined by a younger brother, Kenneth Mitchell Jr. and a loving bond was formed between the two brothers.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

Burial will take place following the service in the Newkirk Cemetery, 26400 US-421, Willard, NC 28478.

Jemonne and Teanna Sanders were united in wedlock in 2002. Though their union only lasted 13 years, it resulted in the birth of their beautiful children, Trenten Ellis Newkirk and Skylah Rose Newkirk. He later remarried to Danisha, and while that marriage also ended, the two remained good friends.

Jemonne leaves to cherish his memory, his mother: Jean Newkirk Moore of Willard, NC; his children: Trenten Ellis Newkirk and Skylah Rose Newkirk of Woodstock, GA; his brother: Kenneth Mitchell Jr. of Cayce, SC; four great aunts, and a host of uncles, cousins and friends.
