James B. Woodcock

James “Jimmy” Woodcock, 80, of 1056 Pearson Road passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, November 6, 2025

He was born in 1945 in New Hanover County, North Carolina, to the late Jack and Jane Woodcock. Jimmy was a hardworking man who loved traveling, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jane Woodcock, and loving grandson, Jackson Woodcock.

 Graveside service will be held Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Clinton Cemetery at the Cross. The family will receive friends after the service and other times at the home, 1056 Person Road, Clinton, North Carolina 28328.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Woodcock of the home; children, James McKenzie and wife Cynthia, John Marcus Woodcock and wife Renee, and daughter Jessica Burgess and husband Jimmy; step-children: Scott, Christine, Donna, and Russell.

Grandchildren include Maison Woodcock and fiancée Kara, Jacob Woodcock, Nicholas Woodcock, Alexandra Woodcock, Zachary Woodcock and wife Jordan, Nathaniel Burgess, Logan Burgess, Allen Burgess and wife Lauren, Alston Burgess and Mary, and Ryan Burgess.

Surviving siblings include Jack Woodcock and wife Kathy, Joyce Webb and David, Jennie Jernigan, Jerry Woodcock and Betsy.

Great-grandchildren include Presley, Greyson, Bryson, Carson, Langston, and Kaylie, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
