James Ricky Harris 67, of 214 Lanefield Rd., passed away Monday, October 7, 2024 at Warsaw Health & Rehab. in Warsaw, NC.

James was born June 6, 1957 in Sampson County to the late James M. Harris and Lola Thornton. He proudly served as a member of the United Stated National Guard and made his living doing automotive repairs. He had a passion for cars and was well known as a ‘Lady’s Man’.

James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Harris and two of his children: James A. Harris and Katie Jones.

Left to cherish the memories of James are his children: Julie Harris of Clinton, Jennifer Harris of Goldsboro and Kaitlyn Harris of Faison; his sister, Annie Ruth Edwards of Newton Grove; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way.

James loved his family and they loved him dearly as well. He will truly be missed.

Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Monday, October 14, 2024 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery located on US-701 Hwy, Newton Grove, NC.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2024, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
