James Frank Owens 45, of 43 Sylvia Lane, passed away on Sunday May 22, 2022 in Bonnetsville. 

James was born and raised in Clinton, NC where he attended Clinton High School and joined Pleasant Grove FREEWILL Baptist Church at an early age. James had a love for fishing, music, working and spending time with his family and friends.

Home Going Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday June 4, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton, NC 28328. Rev. James Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 pm on Friday June 3, 2022 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel. 

James leaves to cherish his memories; Daughter Jasmine Patrice King (Justin) of Fayetteville, NC. Mother, Ms Jewel Lee Owens (Frank) of Clinton, NC. Father; John Elder of Sampson County. Grandmother; Mary L.Owens. Grandchildren (Jyele Preston, Justin Preston II, Jada Preston, Jenesis Preston, Jeremiah Preston and Journei Preston).  Brothers; Yancey Owens of Clinton, NC and Derrick Lee Owens (Renea) of Clinton, NC.  Sisters; Natasha Ford (Ondra) of Fayetteville, NC; Roxane Elder (Cody) of Fayetteville, NC; Darcell McMillan (Darris) of Goldsboro, NC. Aunts; Eldress Kathy Evans of Clinton, NC; Daffie Brooks (Earl) of Clinton, NC; Ruthie Edwards of Roseboro, NC; Florine Royal; Ruby Oates and Grace McNeil (Godmother). Uncles; Ivan Elder (Betty), Paul Elder Jr. and Alton Elder. Fiancee; Jennifer Peterson, Stepchildren; Jessica , Auston, Nick Bryant and six step-grandchildren all of Clinton, NC. A Special Cousin; Travis Evans  as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
