James (Jimmy) Claus Norton 84 of  80 Council Lane Sunday June 08, 2025 at his home.

James is born in 1941 in St Paul's Robeson County to the late Jesse and Betsy Smith Norton.

James proceeded in death siblings, Latta Norton, Jesse Norton, Claude Norton, Cecil Norton, Alta Cribbs. Margaret Blackburn, Thelma Faircloth and Geraldine Barnard.

In James's retirement time he enjoyed working in his building out back, cleaning his cars, going to Hardee's every morning for breakfast, and hanging out with his four-legged friends. Jimmy retired 28 years from Black & Decker in Fayetteville. James also retired from the National Guard as a Second Sergeant.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 14th 2025 at Elizabeth Baptist Church, Reverend John Hobbs, officiating. Burial will follow in the the church cemetery.

James leaves his memories to his wife of 52 years, Margaret Faircloth Norton of the home as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends at Elizabeth Baptist Church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and other times at their home at 80 Council Lane, Roseboro, NC.
