Clinton,
Mr. James Anthony Henry, son of the late William and Melvie Henry, was born September 8, 1959 in Sampson County, NC. He attended Clinton City Schools. At an early age he relocated to Newark, NJ where he was employed.
He resided in Newark, NJ for almost 15 years before returning back to Clinton, NC. He was gainfully employed by House of Raeford of Wallace, NC. He was later employed by Smithfield Packing in Clinton, NC as a bone machine operator until is health failed him.
He departed this life on August 10, 2020 at his home. He was well-known and loved by many. He had a love for dogs. He will truly be missed.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, August, 14, 2020, at Hope Valley Hawkins from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at 2:00 pm at the Boone Family Cemetery in Roseboro, NC.
He leaves behind to cherish his children: Rashaunda “Nikki” (Lamont) White of Goldsboro, NC, Nicole (Kimberly) Chancey, Jewell Chancey, Audrauna Chancey all of Wilson, NC, James Joyner, Jamesia Joyner, Truth Joyner all of Clinton, NC. Four grandchildren: Tajoria Shackleford, Tijeek Shackleford, and Lamontee White all of Goldsboro, NC. Six brothers: William Boone, Stanley Henry, Malcom (Peggy) Henry, Sr. and Edward Maxwell of Roseboro, NC, Alton Williams of Raleigh, NC. Four sisters: Wanda Henry, Lakisha Henry, Bertha Williams and Shirley Capers all of Clinton, NC.
Preceeded in death by Cathy H. Perry, Uncle: Chris (Alberta) Henry of Yonkers, NY, aunt: Tincy Henry of Clinton, NC and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.
