James Robert Adams 68, of 169 NC Hwy 55, was born in Wayne County, North Carolina on January 4, 1958 and passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at his home.

A Visitation will be held 6:00-9:00 pm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.

James leaves behind an extended family who loved him and will miss him dearly. Those left to cherish his memories include his brothers: Earl Adams (Kimberly) and Tony Adams (Betty Jo); niece: Tonya Denning (Barrett) and their two children; step-niece: Amanda McDaniel (Brandon) along with their three children; step-nephew: Chris Barbour (Courtney) and their two children. Additionally he leaves nieces and nephews: Ashley Avery, Tabitha Avery, Linda Partin, Heather Avery, John Avery Jr., Austin Avery, Timothy Raines, William Walker, John Avery Sr., Travis & Sherry Rigsbee, Justin Rigsbee,Travis Rigsbee Jr., Emily Rigsbee, Faith Rigsbee, and Logan King.
