There’s an open gate at the end of the road, through which each must go alone, and there, in a light we cannot see, Our Father claims his own. Henry “Earl” Freeman, 71, of Newton Grove, passed away October 14, 2019 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. He was born on December 1, 1947 to the late David and Betty (Williams) Freeman. He attended school in Sampson County. He joined Piney Green Disciple Church in September of 2015 where he served as a trustee and a faithful worker. He worked for Mack and Dillon McCullum for years before working at Warren Farming Company for over 40 years and M&S maintenance for 6 years.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00AM at Piney Green Disciple Church in Newton Grove, NC 28366 with Rev. Dr. Harry Newsome and Elder Fernando Geddie officiating.
Henry was one of the seven siblings preceded in death by John C. freeman, Louise Butler, Elizabeth Newton, and David Freeman. Those left to cherish his memories are: Velma Freeman (Wife), Two sons: Henry Edward Freeman Jr., and Anthony Freeman, One step-daughter: Sister Mabel Melissa Fowler from Effingham, South Carolina, One Brother In-Law: Julius Fowler, One Brother: Ernest Freeman from Newton Grove, NC, One Aunt: Bonnie McNatt from Fayetteville, NC, along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and special friends: William “Pete” Underwood, Richard “Bo” Owens, Elijah “Buck” Williams, and an adopted sister, Mary Underwood.
