Gladys Mae Watkins, 85, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Turkey Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church located at 138 W. Faison Ave. Turkey, NC 28393.

Born in 1933 in Lenoir County, NC to the late Charlie H. Carter and Pearl Daniels. Gladys worked at the Carter Sewing Factory before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband Joshua "Buddy" Watkins.

Gladys was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories: Her children: Joshua  Watkins of Clinton, Cherlydine Atkinson (Wayne) of Clinton, David Allen Watkins (Elaine) of Turkey, Sisters: Vernell Casteen of Warsaw & Dot Murphy (Bill) of Pink Hill, grandchildren: Charlene Watkins Tripp of Godwin,Chris (Bubba) Watkins of Turkey, Buddy Watkins of Turkey, Brittany Akinson of Clinton &  Nicole Watkins of Clinton, her  four legged best friend, Cletus Snow.

A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Turkey Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery located at 4861 Pine Ridge Road in Turkey, NC.
