Friday, June 25th, 2021, God sent his angel to Mary Gran Nursing Center to heal the hurt, pain, and body of our loved one George Jacobs Jr.
He fought this battle for a long time. He was a man of wisdom. He always had something to share. He kept you laughing. He did what he could for as long as he could.
He was born to the late Eva Bryant and George Frank Jacobs on November 22, 1940. He was also preceded in death by a sister Jean Beckford and two brothers: Bernice Jacobs and Marvin Jacobs.
He began working as a laborer with Hugh Oliver, farming. Later, he worked at Hinson Tire Service with Bill Hinson. Finally, Alamac Knits where he worked until retirement.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, July 3, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 2:00pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
George leaves to cherish his memories Wife: Brenda of the home, Son: George Joyner (Raleigh NC), Daughter: Denise Jacobs (Clinton NC), Brother: Floyd Jacobs/Blanche (Fayetteville NC), Sister: Sharon Rogers (Greenville NC), Grandson: Shaun Jacobs/Tiffany (Faison NC), Great Granddaughters: Asiya and Shakira Jacobs (Faison NC), Aunt: Mattie Rogers (Clinton NC), Uncle: Ike Jacobs/Shirley (Clinton NC), and a host of many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
George will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
