Ed Bass Jr. was born on May 6, 1945 to the late Ed and Jannie Bass. He departed this life on August 20, 2023 at Fayetteville VA Medical Center. Ed was married to the late Linda Bass. From their union they had one son, Eric Bass, whom preceded them in death.
Ed attended school in Del Rio, Texas. After graduating he joined the US Army. He retired in 1989 and went on to make his home in Columbus, Georgia. He later moved to Clinton, North Carolina in 1996. While living in Columbus, GA he attended Columbus Technical Institute where he recieved a deploma in Appliance Servicing and Cosmetology.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3180 Roseboro Hwy, Clinton, NC 28328.
Ed loved fishing, grilling out, and when you couldn't find him doing either of those, you could find him in front of the tv watching a western.
Ed leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Dewanda Wilson (Popeye) of Clinton and Erika Bass of the home; his son, Michael Bass also of the home; two brothers, Tommy Bass and James Bass of Del Rio, TX; one sister, Cora Bailey of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other friends and relatives.
