Dorothy "Dot" King 79 of 5787 Faison Hwy. passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Southwood Drive.

Born in 1940 in Sampson County, NC to the late Jasper H. and Della Tyndall Barber. Dot as she was lovingly known as worked as a hairdresser, she is preceded in death by sister: Betsy Keith, brother-in-law: Hugh Keith, sister-in-law: Sharon Barber.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. E. C. Mattocks officiating, burial will be held in the Barber Family Cemetery on Pine Ridge Road.

Dorothy leaves to cherish her memories:  her husband of 62 years Doug King of the home, Sons: Christopher King and wife Toni of Rosehill, Adam King and wife Faye  of Clinton, Brother: Rusty Barber of Clinton, Sisters: Gracie Moore and husband Henry of Clinton and Lillie Barber also of Clinton, grandchildren:Jessica King Blanck (Lucas) of Apex, Tara King of Wilmington, Tyler King of Rosehill, Brittni Febres of Clinton, Jenna King of Clinton and Abby King of Clinton and great-grandchildren: Chasen Guy, Rivers Wrenn, Anna Wrenn, Gabriel Blanck, Levi Powell, McKaylynn Powell and Dakota Powell.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the church and other at the home, 5787 Faison Hwy, Clinton.
