Donald Hopkins 73 of 1040 HB Lewis Road passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Donald was born in Sampson County on September 11, 1950 to the late Walter Hopkins and Alma Deluca.

Donald was a Master Carpenter who had a passion for building things and working with his hands. He had an ever growing coin collection, loved to go fishing, hunting and searching for arrow heads. Donald was always happy to lift his voice in worship and loved to sing for the Lord. He was a proud member of Gospel Tabernacle Church of Dunn, NC. 

A Celebration of Donald's Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Gospel Tabernacle Church, 2105 W. Cumberland St., Dunn, NC with Pastor Randy Hill & Pastor Zach Rowe, officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held 1:00-2:00 pm, prior to the service, within the chapel.

Those left to cherish the memories of Donald include his daughter, Paula (Eric) Forbes of Wallace, NC; siblings: Johnny Hopkins of Clinton, NC, Duke Hopkins of Florida, Pat Miriello of Dunn, NC; grandchildren: Evann Forbes and Joshua Buchanan; and his sweetheart, Joyce Eason of Dunn, NC.
