Derek Zy'mir Oliver was born October 13th, 2017, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. On Friday, July 2nd, 2021, Derek transitioned from his earthly home.

Derek was the son of Chantel & Lyman Oliver. Derek was the "bossman." He loved making up his own songs. He loved riding his bike and like Olivia, he also loved Cocomelon.

In addition , he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Connie Joyner & sister, Layla Oliver.

A Home Going Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Lakewood High School, 245 Lakewood School Road, Salemburg with Evangelist Lashonta Tatum officiating, burial will follow in the Bearskin Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

A Walk thru will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
