Debora (Highsmith) Vinson

Debora Ann Vinson (Highsmith), born on October 29, 1959, in Poughkeepsie, New York, passed away on May 2, 2025, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Her passing marks the closing of a life remembered with love and respect by those who knew her. Debora was the daughter of Robert Lee Highsmith and Annie Highsmith.

The family will hold a Memorial Service honoring the life of Debora at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, located at 718 Garland Airport Rd., Garland, NC 28441.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tyrone Vinson; her sister, Grethel Highsmith; and her nephew, Derrick Taylor.

She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Andrew Highsmith; her children: Jeremy Vinson, Christina Moore (Michael), LaRhonda Vinson, Angelina Highsmith, and Nadine Ward; and her grandchildren: La'Mayaih Vinson, Zayden Goodman, Amerie Moore, Jordyn Vinson, Kristopher Moore, Anthony Moore, Isaac Freeman, and Jasmine Ward. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.

Her life, love, and legacy will continue to live on through so many lives she touched.
