U.S. Army Veteran David Thomas Glunt, age 66, of 1111 Underwood Road, Roseboro, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home.
David was born on August 8, 1959, in Warren, Ohio, to the late Thomas Scott and Carol Williams Glunt. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Following his military service, David built a successful career as a manager with Smithfield Hog Production. David cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. In his leisure time, David enjoyed fishing and golfing and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams—Duke, Ohio State, and the Carolina Panthers. He was strong in his faith and held deep love for his church and church family.
Funeral Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Bonnetsville Church of God of Prophecy, located at 3497 Old NC 24 Highway, Clinton, North Carolina. Reverend Donald Ray Massey and Reverend Robert Cribbs will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Bonnetsville Church of God of Prophecy, located at 3497 Old NC 24 Highway, Clinton, North Carolina.The family will also receive friends at other times at the home, 1111 Underwood Road, Roseboro, North Carolina.
Those left to cherish David’s memory include his wife, Patricia Glunt of the home; son, Michael Wayne Glunt (Johnna) of Clinton; siblings, Linda Binion (Ed) of Ohio, Cindy Disko (Steve) of Ohio, Jeff Prosser (Joann) of Florida, and grandchildren, Cooper Glunt, Kelci Glunt, Ethan Glunt, and Ella Parker.
