In accordance with our Heavenly Father’s plan, Darryl Leon Anderson, was called home on April 18th, 2025. When he heard the voice of our Father in Heaven, he answered, took his hand, and left it all behind.
Darryl Leon Anderson was born December 3rd, 1964 to the late Dorothy Lou Anderson and Buddy Melvin. He attended Roseboro Salemburg Elementary School, North Jr. High of Newburgh, NY, Hope Mills Middle of Hope Mills, NC, and Lakewood High School of Roseboro, NC.
Throughout his life Darryl worked a number of jobs including Danial Construction in Lincolnton, NC, City of Fayetteville in Fayetteville, NC, DuBose Steel in Roseboro, NC, detailing cars for George Auto in Roseboro, NC, and Crumpler Plastic Pipe in Roseboro, NC.
Darryl was a happy, kind hearted, and lovable people person who never met a stranger. He loved children. Many lovingly called him Uncle Darryl.
In addition to his parents, Darryl is preceded in death by his Grandparents: Gladys M. Anderson, who he called ‘Mom’, Robert Anderson, Leo & Josephin Melvin.
Funeral Service will take place at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at First Missionary Baptist Church, 412 Johnson St., Roseboro, NC 28382. Burial will follow in the Roseboro SnowHill Cemetery located at 966 Marion-Amos Rd, Roseboro, NC 28382.
Visitation will be 2:00-6:00 pm, with family present 5:00-6:00 pm, on Friday, April 25, 2025 at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Chapel, 1246 Hobbton Hwy., Clinton, NC 28328.
He is survived by: Brendetta Beamon Anderson; his daughters: Danielle Manning of Fayetteville, NC, Sherrie Monk of Greensboro, NC, Shirlene Smith of Salemburg, NC, and Daryohna Underwood of Fayetteville, NC; sons: Nicholas Beamon of Fayetteville, NC, Jaquan Boykin of New York, NY, and Devante Beamon of Belvoir, VA; grandchildren: Railynn, Daniya, Samiya, Samontae, Naiomi, Amoratt, Egypt, Jada, Maziyon, Alorah, and Kahleiah; one great-grandchild: Aviana Martinez; sisters: Geraldine Owens Faison (Wate) of Roseboro, NC and Sadie Smith of Fayetteville, NC; brothers: Allen Owens of Roseboro, NC and Roderick Anderson of Salemburg, NC.
Darryl also leaves behind aunties: Betty Murrey of Salemburg, NC, Willa Atkins of Fayetteville, NC, Carolyn Williams of Fayetteville, NC, Enice ‘Bud’ Adams of Charlotte, NC, Gladys Dawson of Roseboro, NC, and Vicky Melvin of Roseboro, NC; uncles: Willie C. Anderson of Burlington, NC and Lee Melvin of Roseboro, NC; a very special friend & his ride or die: Wadie Moore Stokes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who he loved very much.
