Curtis Lamb 55 of 79 Baggett Lane passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Home Going service will be held 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Roseboro First Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John Oliver officiating, burial will follow in the Roseboro Cemetery, 800 Marion Amos Road Roseboro with military honors.

Curtis was born in Newburgh, N.Y. to his adoring mother, Ms. Berlene Monroe and Mr. Colley Lamb. He was educated in the Newburgh School System and he also attended Big Bend Community College.
Curtis developed a love of music at an early age. He even had his own band. Can't you just see Curtis trying to whop. He attended church at the Mt. Carmel Discples of Christ Church in Newburgh, New York. He always enjoyed their choir.
Curtis joined the military. He was a specialist in Company A 648th Engineer Battalion in which he received the following accolades: Army Service Ribbon, 3 Bronze Service Stars, Expert Badge (pistol & grenade), and Kuwait Liberation Medal.
When Curtis relocated to North Carolina, he joined the First Missionary Baptist Church Family of Roseboro. Curtis began to work immediately in the church. He wasin the Mass Choir, Male Chorus and Senoir Choir. He helped in the kitchen when we served meals, came out and cut the grass, always willing to volunteer.
Curtis leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved mother
Ms. Berlene Monroe, three wonderful sons: Alex McDuffie, Arrington McDuffie, Christopher McDuffie and their mother Mrs, Alice Lamb, three brothers: William Lamb (Rosa Mae), Fabiann Washington and George "tightrope" Monroe (Brenda), seven sisters: Lola Loving (Sylvester), Judy Holt, Linda Lamb (Victor), Denise Oates, Darlene Monroe, Cheryl McKinnon and Vicky Lamb, five uncles: George Monroe, Sydney Monroe, Henry Monroe(Dora), Cleveland Monroe and Sonny Lamb (Patricia) three aunts: Janie Pittman (Wade), Christine Monroe and Shirley Baggett (Thomas) One God-daughter: Nibea Johnson three grandsons, three granddaughters, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm with family present from 5:00pm - 6:00pm at Hope Valley Hawkins Funeral Service & Cremation, 1246 Hobbton Hwy. Clinton.
