Clarence Lee Griffin 83 1218 Rowan Road passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at his home.

Born in Harnett County, NC in 1938 to the late Highsmith and Lillian Lee Griffin, he was raised in Sampson County, NC. Clarence was a retired bus driver for Greyhound and was also a farmer, He loved his tractors and was in his element driving and plowing with them. Clarence was a member of Rowan Baptist Church in Clinton, NC. Clarence is preceded in death by his parents: Highsmith and Lillian Griffin, brother:   J. D. Griffin, aunt: Mary Lee whom he loved dearly, father-in-law and mother-in-law:  E. T. Martin, Sr. and Lelia A. Martin and brother-in-law: Terry  Weiss.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday November 29, 2021 at Rowan Baptist Church, 701 Rowan Road, Clinton with Pastor Clay Carter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home at 1218 Rowan Road, Clinton.

Clarence is survived by: his loving wife: Pamela Harper Griffin of the home, brother: Lawrence Griffin and his wife Gloria of Columbia, SC, granddaughter: Lilly Griffin, special cousins: Landis Lee of Clinton, Donna Lee and Tammy Lee of Newton Grove, sister-in-law: Beverly Weiss of Nathalie, VA, brother-in-law: Thomas Martin, Jr. and his wife Janet of Stephens City, VA, lifelong special friend: Alan Perkins of Quinton, VA, many nieces and nephews.

During his illness, Clarence was cared for by wonderful caregivers who became friends, Our thanks to: Teresa Moore, Glenda Ammons, Crystal Darden, Heather Mendoza, Mary Bennett, 3 HC Hospice Team; the nurses, aides and pastors, Eileen Lewis, Joseph Tew and Oliver Whitted.
